Affordable mixing for indie, jazz, ethno or any other limited budget project

Almost every musician or band has their own little home studio set-up nowadays. It is possible to record, mix and produce music at home. But it still demands quite a fair level of equipment and knowledge. Many bands record at home, but don't succeed to produce satisfying records. It usually ends up at some average demo level. The experience and knowledge of mixing is especially lacking.

We have a philosophy - do it yourself, or at different studios, try to record it the best you can, give guidelines for production and let us do the final touch - bringing (hopefully only technically) average or good recordings into CDs with punch and attitude.

We are mostly specialized in mixing - post-production. We don't offer specialized mastering services, but we can also do it for some demo purposes.

We are also dedicated to experimental, radio and voice-over production.

Approach

We pursue the idea of enhancing / making audible the emotional impact of your recordings. Music and "feeling" should come first, technical perfection as close second. We admire quality lo-fi, acoustic and audiophile stereo recordings, natural ambience, reverberation, etc. But we also use compression, eq and the rest of studio wizardry for creative purposes.

We can provide you with a creative mix of the material you recorded in a dedicated recording studio, at your home or project studio or we can arrange for a session and make a complete recording / producing plan.

Mix per mail

The cheapest way and the future of low-budget audio production as we see it would me mix-per-mail. You send the DVDs with raw, consolidated, uncompressed audio tracks (pre-edited by yourself or mark otherwise), we mix one of your songs for a symbolic fee and you decide if you like our approach and than we mix the rest or do the final version if you only need to mix one or two songs. No time-limit. Your guidelines and remarks are welcome and we keep working until you are satisfied (within reasonable time limits and realistic expectations).

They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, but we are not that hungry, so we can still afford to charge very budget friendly fees.
